Kristy Lopez-Bernal is a Cuban-American writer living in New York City. She is currently working on her first novel.
She has written for television and audio, including TBS's The Detour, Audible’s 64th Man, Radiotopia’s The Truth, and the Writers Guild Awards, and is the co-creator and co-host of the podcast Should We Have Kids?At the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, Kristy wrote for various house sketch and video teams — including Beige, One Idiot, and Horse + Horse — and co-wrote the sketch shows Fuck Nostalgia and What The Horse Saw. She was a regular contributor to Funny Or Die. She co-created and wrote the Above Average sketch series Katie: A Lady and the New York Television Festival Official Selection web series The Brothel and Gary Saves the Graveyard. She has also written original content for Univision, Fusion, People Magazine, and other networks.
Kristy is originally from Miami, FL and graduated twice from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
